I'm not sure what to call this -- maybe the Bura new and improved M43 since that what it looks like -- sort of.

It's 18 inches and about 23 ounces -- pretty light and pretty fast. Fit, finish, hardness all what we would expect from Bura. He's mounted this model in silver and silver chape on scabbard. I think it's silver -- at least the magnet won't pick up on it. Excellent work by Bura. Nice matching shaped karda and chakma. Bura makes the best kardas of anybody in the shop. Good saatisal handle. Partial tang but the handle isn't going to go anywhere. Perfect scabbard by village sarki.

Three available at an even hundred bucks. Christmas gift from Bura to you.

Call or email.

What a beautiful knife! Ever since munk's Kumar "hanshee" came last summer I've been hoping to see something similar appear. This one's pretty darn close. Here's a comparison:

Hey Bill,
I'm confused. Are these gone or not?

Thanks!

I recieved my Bura Christmas special today. Very nice it is definately patterned off of a old khukuri. I have a 19th century khukuri that is very similar in shape and curve.
It has the most comfortable handle I have ever felt on a khukuri.
The chakma and karda are nice too. I haven't had a chance to try it out yet. I'll post the results later.
Thanks again Uncle.
God Bless.

Thanks for report from the field, Terry.

Terry is one of those guys whose opinion you can count on. If he says the knife is good it is. If he says the knife is no good it's not.

This khukuri has one of the nicest wood handles I've seen. It has beautiful color and grain. It also has just the right curve to it, it actually follows the curve of the blade. I really like this one.
:D
