Inside sources tell me that a steel blade bushing is the better of the two (bronze).
I just took a 3 dot apart and there was a steel bushing in it. Does anyone know when and why Buck stopped using them if they were better? I can`t see it being a cost issue, but perhaps.

Good question!

I know the bushing came with the addition of the third dot.

Have no idea when or if it was changed to brass, bronze, copper or some other substance.

One of our 110 gurus will have to address that.

Too bad there's no old time guru left here to help this guy.

Where have all the gurus gone......long time passing.

I suppose the problem is that most of us are more interested in the older 110s and that change to brass or whatever would have come about more recently. I just never heard of it. Perhaps one of the Gurus will still show up.
:)
