In the past 3 weeks I've gotten my first knives from GEC and I must say I am very impressed. Fathers Day, a #92 in Moss Green, birthday on the 19'th., a #78 in African Blackwood, and yesterday a #66 Calf Roper in Gabon Ebony just because I wanted it :D.

Congrats! Those are some great looking knives. The Frau was just moments ago giving me some good-hearted grief over my last purchase, which was a Queen. It was my first non-GEC knife. You should check them out too. I think at least one of my GEC's has better fit and finish, but the Queen sings soul. Or maybe it's just that she's new, and I have the sickness....

Thanks guys, and Michael I do have a couple of Queens. This one and a burgundy country cousin that I've never photographed.

Oooh, nice 78! I've been considering one of those in African Blackwood or the cherry jigged bone as a gift to myself for surviving the MCAT this coming week, though I hear the pull on the clip is fierce.

Thanks guys. Stencil, yes I looked at several other 78's in the past that were very stiff, however this particular one isn't too bad. I would say about a 7 out of 10.

Nice going Bob.
Lets make 4 in 4....c'maaan..!! you know you want to.:D
Liking the moss green a lot-I was very tempted by the stone moss abilene stockman but opted for copperhead which is superb.I never really got over the cool mossyness of the moss green tho. I'm on thin ice with my dual 2014 forum knife purchase-but hey I turn 50 this year.I'll definitely need something to tide me over.....

Nice! That's a great little collection there. Something tells me you have more GECs in your future.

You really need to add a #15 to that herd. ;)

"...just because I wanted it" That's sometimes the best reason to get a knife! We need to see those blades too! Those woods look similar but are obviously different types. The moss green is nice looking. The reflection off the blade shows it well.
