Hi folks,

These knives came to a respected fellow member after a long 5-yr wait. They happened to arrive on Aug 19th. He will pop in and say hi. Certainly some of the very last that Bob had a hand in fulfilling.

I think he ordered a set of (5) including a Big bear and a NY Special, but of them, these were fulfilled. I may be wrong about these two.

I'm told the handles are from a stash of the traditional Westinghouse burgundy Micarta, which is no longer available.

I've always found Bob's signature on his sheaths to be a compelling aspect of my displays, and the enjoyment of these pieces. (I have seen MANY other makers sign sheaths, too. I wish they would pay more attention to how articulate his handwriting was, in their attempt to replicate them. This is a script sig from a bygone era.)

I am sure of two: A Chute and a Wilderness. I am uncertain about the third. You tell me.

I'll let the photos give an idea of what a treasure they are.

First the complete set:

I chose to attempt to give a different personality to each of them visually. I could have plopped them all down in a production line, but they deserved better. MUCH better.

Enjoy!

WoW, you captured them superbly Coop. A fine set in deed.
The third is a Dixon Fighter.

Another great set from the Loveless shop.

I'm sure the new owner is very happy with these.

Thanks for posting Coop, always nice to see your work also.

Take care

Charles

+1, Awesome set

I wonder if Loveless knives will continue being made?

They will, I spoke to Jim today....he is going to change the mark, as he feels it is the right thing to do.

Best Regards,

Its nice to see them carry on the tradition.

Nice shooting Coop. question: is the "Pull The Dot" snap typical? We see so few genuine sheaths. The squared tip too?

WOW! Great knives depicted by some stunning photos!

Thanks for posting them Coop. Those signitures look as precise as the work on the knives.

I can tell you put alot of heart into these photos. The backgrounds are perfect and the knives look clear as ever! Nice layouts too.

The knives are spectacular. I had a knife with maroon micarta and its my favorite of them (maybe this is a different color, but its close)

A spectacular set, I give the owner a lot of credit for hunting down that Micarta.
I still think Micarta is the definitive material for a Loveless knife. Bob loved it and once told me: "When you lose your knife in the woods, a squirrel isn't going to chew up the Micarta, years later someone will find a knife they can still use."

Top of the game knives and photography. Thanks for sharing them.

Wow they're incredable.
I got this from an English knifemaker in D2, didn't realise what a copy it is until now....
Still I don't expect I could afford the real thing...
