3 Garage Sale Gems: Maybe??

I've been doing some garage sale cruising here of late and I've come across 3 curious pieces that I can't seem to find out anything about.

Last Saturday I landed 2 blades I had never heard of. First of all I found a British made "WILLETT" machete made by the Sheffield Foundry in England.

Second I went to the very next sale and found a locking, double bladed folder similar to the Spyderco Dyad. It is made by a company out of Tennesee known as Parker Brothers ( not the Monopoly game maker :D)

This past weekend I landed an older Camillus fixed blade. It has the number "4" stamped on the sheath and the knife both. Admittedly I know very little about Camillus being the devout Spyder-Head I am :o:D.

All 3 of these oldie but goodie finds do seem to be decent blades. So any info you all can give me will be highly appreciated. The machete is in mint condition and the guy that sold it to me told me that he bought it around 1969 at Wild Woody's which was a very popular store here locally before they closed their doors in 1986.

always cool to find cool stuff at garage sales, pictures would be necessary, really the only way to accurately i.d. them, 2 of the three have me interested, the camillus and the machete! post it with pictures in Bernard levines forum here on Bladeforums, alot of knowledgeable guys over there, i'll dig up the camillus collector site too maybe you can find a match in some of the old catalogs

Ivan I put up a post on the fixed blade Camillus over at the Camillus Collector sub-forum in the Manufacturer's section. There will probably be someone respond on it over there soon.

I'm aware of Mr. Levine's ocean of knowledge and I will go over there as well. I need new batteries in my HP R707 Camera before I can get pics of it. Been out of work again for over a month and money is thin but I'll try to get pics before the end of the week. The machete is really nice looking and being some of the best machetes made come from England ( particularly Martindale) I am very interested to see what someone might know about it.

The Parker Brothers knife is a lot like the big Spyderco C-44 Dyad in many ways and has a very strong lock on it.

I also found a machete from Sheffield England. Mine says Martindale crocodile 1945 on it.

It's making me wonder if my Willett machete is made by the same people that make Martindale machetes. Because it is kind of an odd coincidence that both are made at the Sheffield England. Sheffield England is kind of the equivalent to Seki City Japan or Solingen Germany from what I've been told. That is being a "mecca" for steel foundries and cutlery manufacturers as Seki City and Solingen both respectfully are.

This Willett machete is brand new and still has the original laquer coating on the blade. The sheath is in excellent condition as well. The original owner told me that he bought it new and never ever used it in all those years he had it.

I wonder if Martindale is still in business because I can't find a USA dealer for them. If anyone here on BF knows anything about these companies I sure wish they would let us know what information they have.

Picked up mine at a thrift store. New Martindales can still be purchased over the internet.
