Hey Fellow Hogs, Rats, & Dogs

Since you're all to some degree an extension of family with similar interests and appreciation for beautiful cutlery -- I'd like to share something with you all. I'm a few hours away from willingly and happily making a decision that will change my life forever. In a few hours I'll be boarding a sail boat in Key West, sailing into the sunset, and asking my long term girlfriend to be my wife. Now this obviously a big deal for me and a little nerve wrecking. What makes this extra special and what makes me feel compelled to share this with you all --- is the fact that she has no idea it's coming. In fact, she's been occasionally unhappy and disheartened every time a new knife comes in. Why you might ask?? Well, she knows that money is tight and she knows that an engagement ring costs $$. I've repeatedly cited money as a huge obstacle preventing me from providing her with an engagement ring. What she doesn't know is that despite my love of INFI/SR101 -- I love her much more. She doesn't know that I've been saving a bunch of cash on the side as I simultaneously acquire new knives. After posting this thread -- I'm going to disappear for a few hours to enjoy the magic of this special occasion. As soon as I have some pictures and as soon as my heart rate comes down, I'll post some pictures. Thank you Jerry for helping create a positive/welcoming culture of friendship and camaraderie to accompany the impeccable quality of knives you make. Thank you all -- I felt the need to share this with you all.

Well done - getting one's priorities straight is probably the most happiness-ensuring thing one can do (aside from ordering new knives ;) ). Wishing you both the best.

God bless you Rob and your soon-to-be fiancee - I pray that you have a lifetime of happiness together!

The Best of wishes to you guys :)
