I'm sure this has been asked somewhere already, but 10 pages of the search and I haven't found it, so I'm gonna start a post anyway. I'm gonna be going into an area where I can only have a folder with a 3" or under blade, and a lot of scared sheeple. I wanted to hear your guys' recommendations, hopefully under 100 dollars. I'd prefer it to be exactly 3", but I can go as low as 2 and a half. I'd also prefer a deep carry pocket clip, like spyderco's wire clip or a SOG clip. Thanks in advance!:D

Sage 1, good clip, 3 inches and just about 100? If you read the older posts and check out some reviews you night have a better idea of what you want, i.e. steel, grind, handle material, style, etc... lots of good choices..

For my basic POU (Nutnfancy quote, aren't I tacticool?) I was hoping for a good slicer with a strong lock, but it also needs to be very discreet... FFG and Hollow grinds are probably my best bet.

there are a LOT to choose from:

I think the sage is a good choice.

Benchmade makes a lot of sub-3" knives- 470 Emissary, 585 mini Barrage, 556 mini Griptilian, 525 mini Presidio.

Kershaw has the Skyline, Leek and many others.

The Spyderco Dragonfly in G-10 has always been one of my favorites as a smaller, sub $100, EDC knife.
I usually see it go for around $80 or so and it seems like it would fit your specifications perfectly.

I second the Dragonfly. Great little knife and feels really good in the hand with that front choil. Looks very small in the hand too but that blade is nice!

The dragonfly is a great option but I think the blade is 2.25 inches or so. My vote would be for a Sage 1 or Mini Grip. Maybe get a smaller SAK like a cadet, compact, waiter, or tinker for a secondary blade

It's probably a little over 100 (probably around 120 from some dealers that offer coupons for Benchmades?) but I would throw in the Benchmade 707.
I've been carrying one for 3 years and it's been IWB @ 1 'o clock (diagonally through the first belt loop) and I don't want to miss it. It's mostly a secondary or tertiary knife for me(so I use other knives for hard use) but I think it's pretty sheeple friendly.

Spyderco Leafstorm, Sage 1 and (even better) Sage 2, G10 Dragonfly, and many others by Spyderco. Also the new Cryo by Kershaw might be cool. They just came in stock at a very good online retailer today, although they're probably all gone by now. Another really good and cheaper choice would be the Kershaw Skyline (although aren't they slightly over 3 inches?) or a Leek. A D2 composite blade Leek would rule. I handled the Kershaw Echelon recently too, which is a very solid upper end USA Kershaw and if that's under 3 inches, I'd recommend it as well. And if you can find a Chris Reeve Mnandi for cheap enough, then that would be outstanding :)

+1 for the Sage 1; a terrific knife which meets all your criteria. Kind of a classic too...
