3 inch Manilla Folder

Those are pretty sweet! I love the fact that it has that brass strip in the rosewood. Very nice indeed.

These are very nice indeed especially as a set. Its still incredible to me the variety of butterfly models from that "era". Its the first small manila folder I've seen and I used to have a lot of them.

Yes sniperboy ,you read my mind about the "real"three incher. I've seen modified,
"chopped" versions but from the photo and handle/blade ratio this appears to be factory. I also agree with you and Gollnick about breaking up the set.It would almost a crime.

I think that I've been playing the odds for so long that I'm bound to trip over a sweet deal for a prize like those someday.

They are sweet! What's the story on how you got them?

Yes this is a real factory 3 inc because if the blade had been chopped the handles would not be the right size ,It came from a person who bought it at a estate sale

Is the strip part of the handle or just laid on top of the wood?

Also, not so clear but it seems to have batangas latch????

The brass strip in the middle is part of the handle ,instead of 2 inserts like other knives ,these have 4 inserts of rosewood on each knife and it is a batangas latch

TJ

Why do they have batangas style latches?? The whole point to them being MANILA FOLDERs is that they had manila style latches!! Anybody have any information for a confused baliswinger??
