I am back at university away from home and I had a choice to make just before flew. What knives to take, because I am afraid to leave all my knives in the flat I stay (not the most secure) so...... I decided on my salt 1 (ideal since I am doing a lot of field trips, dealing maybe with water with who knows what chemicals in it, my sebenza (most recent purchase and need to get my moneys worth out of the knife) and my swiss tool x. for when my car gives problems. Thats it for me for the next 3 months.

my burger exk1 stays at home. I am really going to miss that knife!!!!!!! been my constant edc for a year. I am starting to think did I make the right choice? It is bad to have taken such a decision! poor EVA (the knives name). Hope she misses me too:p:p:p:(

Haha I have most of my collection up here and I sometimes find myself getting sad that I don't have my Gransfors hatchet. Though I wouldn't be able to do anything with them up here, I still miss em. Sounds like you made a solid choice and you will be more bonded to your sebenza which I'm guessing will be on your person at all times?

I'd like to do that with my slipjoints but I have about 7 nice ones and I can't resist rotating them. Sometimes I want to carry a stockman, sometimes I want to carry a trapper, etc.

I did find myself missing the Spydie Street Beat so I brought that up and use it as food prep with my Mora #1.

That is correct. On me at all times in a sheath I recently made. (not the greatest sheath nor the best looking but works)

Nice choices there. Swiss tool, higher end folder, and a maintenance free totally rustless one.

just 3?! I think I have around 20 of my blades with me at school. (not all at one time :)) I would like to cut it down to 6 or 7, but I love my top 20 too much

Well, three blades shouldn't be too difficult. One good folder, one good fixed blade, and one decent multitool would be all I needed, but it's just natural to want more. knarfeng was nice enough to send me a Camillus Rough Cut Stockman, so the folder would be covered. As for a fixed blade, there's always a mora sitting around somewhere around here. Lastly, for multitool, I leave a Leatherman something-or-another in the glove compartment, and usually have a P-51 and Craftsman 4-way screwdriver, so that's that.

It's hard for me to choose which knives to bring so I just have them all with me. I even have a Granfors small forest axe in my closet (with my other camping gear of course). I would have brought the Burger too if I were you. Seems like an awesome knife.

The Burger is an awesome knife your correct!:D so glad I bought it, but I am glad I can give it a rest over a year for time being and get to use my sebenza (only about 2 months old, yet was made in 2006). I need to get my moneys worth out of it (and three years of the poor knife just sitting in a closet must have crushed its hopes of ever seeing daylight!)

A small axe!!!! Now thats something worth having in outdoor gear!!!
