Got these three finished this week. Just thought i'd show them.
First is an SPB-1+ with reindeer antler.
Second is an SPB-1 with thuya burl. I really like this wood, take a lovely finish and looks alive when you move it in the light. The smell when your working it is lovely too, addictive almost
The third is my hunter model in 01 and with a scandi grind. Handled in Yew. Had a slight mishap shaping the handle on this one. When i was profiling it, our cat brushed against my leg, i lost concentration for a sec and caught the edge of the blade on the grinder. Only a little through the tape but it can be seen near the handle Its sharpened up well enough in that are though, just put it on the Tormek strop. Luckily this wasn't a commission, i was just trying the design as a scandi. Did it work do you think?
