3 New Raptor Pro'

Wow! Those are some great lookin' blades. The bottom one is my favorite.

Nice looking work, they have a Mike Snody feel to them.Man you pump out he kives.I am lucky if I finish 1 a month:)

I must clarify now that you've mentioned it. It does look a lot like Mike Snody's Ronin, which was a collaborative design with Michael Janich, a practitioner of martial arts (including the Filipino styles). Interestingly, the original customer I worked with on the design of the first Raptor Pro was also a practitioner of Filipino Martial arts amongst other things. I had never seen the Snody design at that time, but guess what design we came up with in the end ... !

I reckon Mike Snody's Ronin is a much cleaner design and of course mine does have that sharp top edge, which was the customer's specific request to incorporate into the design.

I may have mentioned somewhere that I am now officially PART-TIME knifemaking and part-time medico (about 40:60), as opposed to spare time knifemaking. A gamble but worth a shot. 2004 sounds exciting (and scary) already. And I have been studying and working on methods to maximise efficiency, hence the large volume of knives I make. I still haven't been able to get through all my orders, despite closing my books to new orders, so I still have a lot to learn.

Cheers. Jason.
