Here is my third official fully finished heat-treated knife!

The specs are: 5160 steel, .262 stock, MCAM scales, stainless tubes. 11.25 inches long, 6 inch blade from tip to ricasso. I did the heat treat myself with a digitally controlled kiln and quenched in canola oil. I tempered twice at 350F. My wife tied the lanyard, it is made of olive drab/glow in dark paracord

I think the video represents the knife better than my photos; check it out, it is only 18 seconds long.

Very nice. Why polished just at one end on one side?

Purely aesthetic, I tried a number of finishes on it and I liked this one the best. I buffed the whole knife to a near mirror polish and didn't like how easily the finish scratched, this way you get a little flash but maintence is easier.

You can see in the last video I changed it a little bit again, I polished the edge and the area right above it.

Here is another video, I wound up making the micro bevel a little bigger and buffed it more with a scotchbrite pad to keep future scratches at bay.
