3 beautiful knives! I have a few with finger grooves and they are comfortable!:)

Uncle do you ever get HI villagers with a Chiruwa handle?

i'll take the 16" sanu villager if it's available.

skagsig...i know you wanted that 15.5" sanu villager from last week, so i'll step aside and let you have this one if you want it. i already sent email to Uncle Bill, but i noted that i'd lake you to have it even if my mail arrived first.

by the way, i'm just about done with my overhaul of last week's sanu villager and it looks awesome...refinished / reshaped handles, hand rubbed satin finish on blade, bolster, and butt...this baby looks as good as any first quality HI in my book...it cleaned up real nice.

Got pix, GearCoon? How did you finiash out the blade? by hand rubbing or grinder/buffer?

You can have it Geargoon. I think I'll wait for one at 15 inches or a little less. I have so many khuks over 15 inches and I think 15 is a good carry size! Thank you for the offer that was nice of you! I did get a 14 and 1/2 inch villager by Sanu and it is nice and hard and should be a great user! I'm also wondering what you did to finish up yours, can you fill us in?;)

skagsig...i concur on the hardness of the sanu villagers, i just put an edge on mine and it has the nicest sweet spot of any of my khuks.

i'd be happy to share some pics (although now i'm worried that you guys aren't gonna think this puppy looks as good as i do), but i don't have a gold membership yet...sorry.

ferrous...on the blade i just went through 3-4 grades of 3-M scotch brite type pads by hand. i find that the scotch brite has some cushion to it so it hugs the wavey forged surface of the blade better than sand paper (although i do use sand paper before scotchbrite if i need to remove rust of other blemishes). rubbing by hand also allows me to use a nice curved tip to bolster stroke that follows the curve of the blade...looks a bit more professional.
