I don't know where to post this. I hope this is the best place.

So brutal and amazing. When I first read the vid title, I thought the vast number of bees would come out on top. Nope.

Damn !!!

I've see some of those nasties when I was up around Ringing Rocks Park in Pa...

On a related note, African Driver Ants have been known to eat large tethered and/or corralled animals. They'll eat babies and the infirm as well.

The japanese honeybees are a little more badass.

That's one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Wow, they can regulate the temp by single degrees? You're right, they get the badass award!

Seen that before- it's awesome

Just for the record, these Japanese hornets are not in the US. The one we have here is the European hornet and it does not have that behavior.

I type this with 5 bee stings from my hives today..speaking of behavior.

Found one of those beasties in my house last night ... Just about scared the crap outta me !! I was able to catch it and get rid of it.. Showed my sweety and the neighbors, and they all just about freaked !! Sorry no pics, was more intent on getting it out than anything else.. Hoping and praying that there's not any more to be found....

Saw a few of those on my grandmothers porch last weekend in PA. Scared the heck out of her, I was promptly ordered to remove them with extreme prejudice.

those hornets in the video are from japan ONLY what people from pa are seeing are cicada killer wasps, equally nasty creatures but not the same
