I am still learning here---I would like to know if Buck made any of the 300 series knives with Micarta handles? Especially in the 70's or 80's. Thanks for any help you might be able to give. Now I'm going to see the Sunday picture show.

According to the list I have in '87 they made a 315 special project with white micarta for the Americas Cup Race, but thats the only one I can see. Special Projects I'd guess are the only ones I know of.

Bucks, what MBJann said . I'm more sure about the 70's and I'd say no . Then in the 80's
I'd say what he said---it would have been a special project . DM

Thanks for replys---I saw one on the auction site for a 307 with Micarta handles. I sent a question if they were sure that they were not delrin they said that they were micarta---a case of another wrong info. The pics sure looked like sawcut delrin to me. I just wanted to know for sure---still a lot to learn, but really like gaining more knowledge.

You guys don't need me, pretty soon I may let David take over all the big folder questions and Matt take over the West Coast stuff......ha.

Everyone right on. To my knowledge anything , other than mentioned, with Micarta is aftermarket. I don't believe Micarta would 'sawcut' very effectively......

The one in question was on the auction site. I think the seller over described the knife. It went a little over $60.00, I just hope the buyer will be happy with sawcut delrin 307.
Everyone stand up and cheer, as I won a tan box 307 for a very good price--NIB. I have been wanting one for a long time just could not afford the going prices. But my dad always said a blind hog finds a acorn every now and then. I am so happy.
