I went to the Buck website and couldn't find the 300 series. Only the Chinese versions. Are they still in production?

Look under the "everyday" category. I just checked and they're still over there. I also have a 2017 (ended up being a 2016, see post below) 303 I picked up a few months ago. ;)

Edit: Chinese. My mistake. Was only trying to help.

Also, the 300 series I picked up as "NIB" from a dealer is 2016. I just checked. It must have been leftovers from last year, I was under the impression it was this years knife. Sorry for the confusion! o_O:poop:

Interesting... even searching for 303, 301, etc... returns no results. Perhaps they're updating photos or something. I'm browsing from my phone.

It would be nice if they were retooling or redesigning (lightly!). Like bringing the tip of the spey beneath the handle line. I hope they dont get rid of the American made 300 line.

My experience is that the web site is never complete for the entire product line. They are in the 2017 catalog.

Thats true. A while back I was looking for a 118 and it was in the stores but nowhere to be found on the site.

So your saying I shouldn't run out and buy a bunch?

Yes, go out and buy online a late 1980's models ( 86 to 88 to be certain) and give the 425 blade steel a test. My favorite 300 steel. Web site needs a couple of months every once in a while to get straightened out. Catalog is a who knows.

Calling Jeff Hubbard, come and comment on the lack of website 300s before wild rumors start flying. 300Bucks

Still nothing on the Buck website for the 301 and 303 models.

Rumors are flying.
Not too wild yet. Fairly tame.

ScottK,

Buck's online web site suck's.....period. It rarely matches what they make and sell, I would make a guess it's so you will go to one of the Buck dealers to buy what you want. Go to any of the large Buck dealers/retailers and you can buy a 301 or 303 right now! If you keep going to the Buck web site you will continue to be frustrated.

I entered 500 on the Buck site search box and all they showed was a pearl one and the Eagle Scout version, but Knifecenter shows the usual product.

Demand must be high. Great!

My recently purchased Rosewood 303 is a little gem.

Rumor dies again. And I was going to reply that it was because Amazon was getting ready to buy Buck and let them only make box cutters and nose hair scissors. 300

Best sellers. Gotta love they sell out. Market is strong.
