I never gave much thought to carrying a slip joint until the pocket clip on my Vantage got hung up on something and bent:eek:.At the time I was too busy to fix it so I grabbed the 301 stock man in my collection and slipped her in my pocket, lol that was a month ago. What a great edc knife it has been.It has sailed through every thing I've thrown at it with ease.Fantastic quality, great blade snap, generous size nail nick for easy opening, three very useful blades, plus it's so easy to touch up the blade for a razor sharp edge. Now I understand why the 300 series are such great knives!:D

Sky,

The next thing you'll be posting photo's of you field dressing a deer....just like some of the other slippie folks here;).

Well, To be dead-dog honest......

This old dry, but fat, cow elk found me carring a Selector on my belt and in my pack, a Vanguard with wooden handle and a old 121 . It looks like we had it easy with open country, but it was a BLM 'Roadless Area' and the truck was on a private land sheep road, straight uphill (steep) 350 yards and a slippery covering of snow. Hence the packframes, where we will use the bone-it-out as you go, cloth bag it and pack it to truck. No gutting to save the mess, just cut all the meat off after skinning. I did however use a 303 to clean my fingernails after dark. I was sure glad my old college buddy was married to a younger women and his vigor made him able to do most of the packing........

I'm getting my holiday anxiety... my wife hopefully has taken the hint and has a 301 on the way to the apartment. Until then I'll be living vicariously through your pics (300Bucks, do you have anything picked out for the SPS?)

Them cows eat good... Those pack frames look really familiar. I got mine from Cabelas about 6 or 7 years ago, and they look identical :D

Great pics Skyhorse, and a fine lookin knife. There really isn't much a guy can't do with a slip joint.

Glad to see a photo of your elk hunt 300 . Which Buck did you use the most ? It does take less time doing it that way . Looks cold there, glad you had some help . DM

Great another one to compete with for 300s on a certain auction site, like I don't have enough problems putting together the umteen 300 series collections (LOL)!

I carry a 301 and a 305 sometimes... Black handles... There good for just about anything small and some big things too... ITE ... :D
