I don't know wether to be proud or ashamed. I was entering a recent acquisition into my database and realized it was the 300th entry. :o

Yep,

I know what you mean.....$70 is a real steal;) It's a sweet knife, did it come with a box & card?

This one came naked. I have a number of the etched knives that came without the jewel box. Wish I could buy some. Opening and closing these knives is a real issue for me. I hate to "smilie" them, even some of the non etched ones. Storage is a problem though leaving the knife open.

Nice knife for that milemarker Desoto
One option for storing knives open would be in a padded roll. If sewn with the pockets spaced and a flap to come down from the top to cover the blades, they would be well protected.

DeSoto,

300 Buck's is a big number, i'd say your hooked;). When I find some time i'll look in my pile. I got a knife a few months ago and it came with the wrong COA....I think it's a Stonewall Jackson and I don't have a knife with that etch.

Well done, my wife will have killed and dismembered me long before I hit 300.

I REALLY wish you wouldn't have started this thread!! It made me go count my Bucks and just like you, it doesn't look good. :)

From the very beginning I kept a database with information on every knife in my collection so the counting is easy.
yes i agree with Habbie takes a long time to count
but the lawyer said i had to count them over a year ago
total was over 300 then so i know how many that is
most are 110's of some kind no i dont know how many i have now
what is that data base program you are useing
seems i need to do that
btw that is a nice 110 .. i paid more for mine likt that
good luck counting
some one has a zig line of if you know how many you have you dont have enugh...

I refuse to count mine. But doubt it comes close to 200, much less 300. And that may be a good thing :)

Well done! Great knife, and one of my favorite Civil War Generals.

Off topic, I know, but I had to comment:
I was told the same thing for my knives, and tools and heirlooms as well. We'd had a series of burglaries around Concord here, and I looked into insurance.

I just started putting down what I remembered, as it came to mind, and within a couple weeks I was up to 200+ knives. As of now, I'm at 500+, that I've owned, traded, sold, gifted, lost, etc. Then I see a Buck Stonewall commemorative, and another is added to the want list. :D ;)

You might have to add 5...I like to think in terms of sets, that I know of... JEB Stuart, Stonewall Jackson, Lee & Jackson, Robert E Lee, and George Pickett. All were issues of 250 between 1988 and 1993. /Roger
