Good afternoon!

I just picked this up and was wondering if you folks can help me date it. I know it is before 86 and made by Camillus. But other than that I can’t find too much more information! I think the blades are 440A but the springs are most definitely carbon steel based on their patina. And information is great, the blades all have great snap and it will be a great user!

What bertl bertl said. Unfortunately, I dont think it can can get any more specific than that reliably.

That is what I was thinking, is 74 when the changed the pins for the covers?

I think 1971 was the last of the handle pins and the model number was on the pile side.

Main blade looks like it has a patina in the picture.
Camillus did make a stockman the same size as the 301 that had 1095 blades.
Is it possible an "oops" was made and some 301's left the factory with carbon steel blades possessing the Buck stamp rather than the Camillus stamp?

No patina on the blades, just lots of scratches. They are mostly full though!

I have discussed blade steel with the folks at Camillus and that model being from the 70's it is more likely to be 440A steel. Because they didn't phase in 420 steel until the mid 90's, somewhat like Buck. Maybe 1994. DM
