301 qc?

Recently got a new 301.. I've owned a few of these in my life and love them.. This one in particular seems to have some qc issues in that the blades rub aginst one another severely, So much so in fact that the spey doesn;t even open or close unless the sheepsfoot is full opened. I'm pretty sure Bucks amazing warranty will come through for me as it has in the past and they;ll replace it, But I am slightly bumed as I was looking forward to putting this blade to use asap... anyone else experience anything like this?

sorry to hear that and am sure Buck will make it right. i've grabbed about 12 of the various usa made 301s in the past few months and even a china made one on clearance for $5 yesterday and they've all opened smoothly with only minor variances in finish but none on function.

I've sent at least two back since 2005 for the same reason, every time time Buck exchanged them with perfect ones, but this seems to be a recurring problem.

I just got this 303 a week ago and the only inperfection I have or can find is the pin on the secondary blade side protrudes a little.

I'm sure Buck will make it right!
