301 year code

Do all the newer 301's have the year code on the sheepsfoot blade as well as the 3 liner stamp on the main blade?

The newest one I have is marked with the stamp for 2011 and only on the clip (main) blade. None of the other blades have any marks at all.
 
This one has the Buck 301 USA on main blade and an Idaho on sheep blade. knife bolt hammer on emblem. I thought it interesting. Was just curious

Well, that's cool! I love the Idaho stamp and I've gone out of my way to get knives with that stamp. I suppose the knife is from 2005 if it's stamped that way?
 
No clue on its history. Was just looking at this baggie that has my few 300 series in it. But I did have it wrapped in a tissue. Its pretty much minty.
 
No, just the sheepfoot. Just the standard 3 liner on main blade.

Just thought it a bit different. Let me see if I can get a decent pic.

Interesting. Perhaps there isn't enough room on the stamp side of the main blade to fit the Idaho stamp.
 
Its sorta neat the way it sits there all by its self.

Now this is interesting, there is a miniscule little 305 in this mess in the same configuration. Sorry about the pic. I tried chalking the stamp for visibility.

So I guess this stamping isn't all that rare.

Definitely not enough room on the main blade for the Idaho

Well Guys,

First off I am lazy and did not get out all my Idaho stamped 2005 models for a photo......gonna rain on your parade as the Idaho stamp was put on all the 301, 303, 309 and 305's made during 2005. I believe it may be on a couple of special issues also.
So in the end I will just say....it's just common business.......aka anvil for 2002. Is Idaho not on other series also ?

Yeah, but are any other year's date stamps found on any blade other than the main blade on the slippies? I think Larry's question was about that, not if the Idaho stamp was rare.

I guess the Idaho on the other blades sorta jumped out at me, kinda.:cool:

Y'all know I am not into this 300 series thing. :rolleyes::)
