Are you wanting a "modern" Dymondwood 303 whose scale is light and shows the wood grain ? Or are you speaking of older 303 with grey colored Delrin scale ?
#1 I myself prefer the 'grey' wood grain appearance of the light colored Dymondwoods.
All I can suggest is to go to a knife store and make friends enough that they will set
all the DW 303s out so you can look thru the boxes.
#2 Grey Delrin was used in the 303 WORKMAN series (or variation) which was marketed
as a knife for tradesmen and craftsmen. It most ofter will be found with the clip
having a pad print in black that says Buck Knives, Workman. They were
issued in the 80s and very early 90s. Some will have knife, bolt and hammer and
some have the BUCK scale shield. Production of that 300 series variation was less
than normal yearly 303 production and so it will be encountered less often. If this is your
interest let me suggest doing a search of the forum using - Workman. I have no
production numbers but my "best educated guess" says that the 303 was the most common Workman 300 Series issued.
