That's a beauty Armand. It reminds me of this one that I've had for a couple of years. I don't know if it's a Yellowhorse or not, the blade isn't signed like yours.

Those are nice little slippy's!

Thanks jb. The problem is that I can't find mine. My wife spotted it and decided she wanted it to keep in her purse because it was so small and pretty. Now I can't find it anywhere. I'm sure it's around, but I can't locate it.

Yeah, I just hope I find it again someday. :grumpy:

I hope you do too... and next time you go to a Knife show and if DY is there, you can show it to him and he can tell if he made it... It sure looks like he did...

Here's some pics of my other 309/ (1993) ... The one I posted already is a 1994... Does anyone know how many years DY and Buck made these... I have a 305 in the same pattern... I guess I'm collecting 300s in Yellowhorse Bucks... If I ever get anymore of these, 300Bucks in first in line... Thanks... ITE ...

P Dave, did you find yours yet???

Nope, but I don't even know where else to look. There must be 30 purses stored here but I think I've checked them all. It will show up someday I assume.

Your two are a lot prettier than the one I have.

Thanks Dave, but I think your looks just as nice... and I hope it's a DY... Sure looks like it...

Another beauty Armand. The workmanship on those are just flawless.

Yep, I just found mine today. It was in some of my wife's things in the motorhome. I still don't know if it's a Yellowhorse or not. Maybe if it is, the blade was just to tiny to sign. Anyway, it has some nice stone in the inlay who ever did it. It's not mint because she carried it in a purse, probably just banging around in with her keys.

First off Gene Merrit is the expert on Yellowhorses of all makers and eras.
Second lets narrow the focus to what you want to talk about. There is Buck catalog
300 Yellowhorses and Yellowhorse productions 300s.

This is catalog 300 dates.
1993 - 314
1994 - 314 and 312
1995 - 314, 312 and 309 ( This year in Yellowhorse Co. catalog a 305 was first offered)
1996 - 314, 312 and 309
1997 - 314, 312 and 309

Brian Yellowhorse made some 300s for Yellowhorse Co. catalog. Both Yellowhorses continued and still make 300s both USA and China but for Yellowhorse Co. catalog only. Other models (NON-300s) have been made for recent Buck catalogs

I do not have a complete catalog collection of 300 Yellowhorses, Armand don't faint, I was slow to start getting them because of their prices. Only lately with a couple of other cheaper 300s in my collection do I feel I can look for them.

Photo: Left to Right, Buck catalog 314 and 312. Not Buck catalog Brian Yellowhorse 305 and 309. And then Santa Fe Stoneworks 303s (2). I do not know who made Plumbs 309 but its scale is really nice.

Heres a close-up of both knifemakers signature for those who haven't seen it. And some thumprint I will wipe off.....

Both are very sweet as well as 300's examples. That inlay on Daves is particularly striking to me, looks like a satalite photo of seas and land. Just a guess, but doesnt seem consistant with D Yellowhorse's stonework appearance.
