I decided to carry a diff folder everyday for Dec. Here is what I am carrying on day 1. Case Trapper Basketweave Chestnut Bone.

Cool idea. I am doing the oposite. Just this morning I decided I was going to carry my opinel no. 9 all month long. I just can't quite make myself carry a traditional unless I pair it with a modern. Well, not this month. I'm planning to finaly rid myself of pocket clips and thumb studs.
 
This will be a fun thread to follow. Good choice, kicking it off with a Trapper.

Great idea for a thread! Be sure to let us know what you cut with all the great knives we're going to be seeing!
 
Well, that's interesting. I will be following along out of morbid curiosity. I couldn't do it. I just can't not carry my tc barlow. I'm not sure why, but it's become "my knife."
 
It will be like window shopping for my next knife. There is the knife for Christmas and one for the New Years of course. My wife hates these threads.

I know what you mean, the TC Barlow (I have two) is a HUGE favorite of mine. It's just such a classic, I appreciate it more and more over time.

Caine, are you going to take a photo each day, in the same position, and then at the end make a movie and speed up the frame rate:thumbup::D
 
I think he should take the picture on a newspaper each day so we can verify the pictures are current. :D
 
Day 2. This folder is atlease 25-30 years old. Its a cheap folder that belonged to my Uncle Garner.

Right! The more I use and consider it, each time it catches me unawares (because: it still does), I marvel again at the perfections of proportion and understated appointments, especially over and against competing contemporaries. So extraordinarily well-considered, in each specific that contributes to (or very purposefully does not detract/distract from) the overall presentation.

That Case from day #1 is something else, so many nice knives in the sub forum :)
 
I wish you luck, I've tried many times to do the same and I do alright for a few days and then I pick one I really like and I have it for a few days, then the next one a week and before the end of the month one finds its favorite spot in the right pocket. Within the month I carried 4 or 5 knives and that was as far as I ever get.

Looking forward to your journey, maybe I'll get inspired and attempt it again. :)
