Anyone out there have a Buck 310 Whittler? Either it's a new model or I just haven't been seing this one. Looks cool, though - has clip, pen and coping blades. 3" closed. Is this a contract-manufactured knife or made by Buck? Here or in Mexico? If you've got one, let's hear your thoughts. Thanks!

Not yet. I just ordered one Monday from KnifeCenter. Looks like a cool little knife. I'll let you know. Price was about $22 plus shipping.

I have a 310 Whittler and love it. It is small enough to be a dress knife and stout enough to do a lot of work. I really like the coping blade. There are so mant things you can do with it. Several years ago I gave my Dad one and he likes it. Mine is made by Buck with the black handles and famous shield. I did not see it in the new 2001 catalog which was disappointing. I don't know if it is discontinued or not but I think it is a great little knife. I've watched Ebay for one in the jigged bone handles. They are really neat.

I picked one up a couple of weeks ago. Nice and sharp right out of the box. Not quite as finely finished as my Boker, three springs rather than two, but a "user" from the git-go.
