311, 511, 711

I'm in need of a good mid size blade (5-7) inches am
debating wether to get a mid sized Busse or 2/3 scrapyards ?

For tough knives at a good price, it is tough to beat the SYKCO series. And the handles may not be pretty, but they are comfortable. I like both the 511 and the 711. Supposedly there will be a 611, though only Dan knows if and when.

I decided to get the scrapivore, 311, and the 1311. Now I'm deciding whether or not to pull the trigger on 511, 711, or the 911.

Scrapivore would be the neck knife, 311 small, 1311 for large chopping abilities.

Of the three (511, 711, 911) which is more sensible? or which of the two? or should I just get all three.

711 hands down fits in with the ones you have already, very versatile, great camp knife. 511 nice but handles are too small for knife imho, if they would have gone larger handles on that, mudders or the new War Dog style would have been better but still a real nice blade for the price

The 711 is the best all-round for me, and I agree with sb that it fits your group well. Heavy enough to chop in a pinch, but handles well for smaller tasks. The 511 is useful around the house and yard. I do think the choil on the 511 could be a tiny bit bigger.

I got the 911, but if I need to chop, I think the 1311 is gonna win!

Can't go wrong with all versions. I like the 511 the least; just doesn't feel right for me. A pretty amazing set in SR101 at great prices.
