319 Knife Patterns found

I have been searching for knife patterns for awhile now and found this link ( from a google search ). Alot of good patterns here and may come in handy ( for me anyway ) to new knife makers to know what types they want to make ( and for me ) the name of said type you made. I see that he has his patterns protected ( well it says so on his page ) and we should email him if we want to use them but I see alot of patterns there that has been around for a very, very long time. Is there a problem with using one of these patterns ( as a bases only not exactly as his ) to make your own knife.

Anyone else have any good links to patterns? Any help on patterns would be very helpful.
