I have a couple of questions. First, I saw a Buck 319 the other day. I think this was the first 319 I've ever seen. Are there still parts for knives that are discontued? This knife looked much like a 307.
Second, are there any of those catalog reproductions still around? I thought I had ordered one but evidently did not. I think they were something like $6. If I had them I might be able to look up these discontinued models when I run across them. Thanks for a great forum.

Don't know about the 319, but the catalog reprints are great to have for reference info and just plain interesting to look through. If Joe has any left I think the whole set was $6.00.

Russell,
The 319 Rancher is actually much like a 301 Stockman except the spey blade is placed at the same pivot as the master clip blade and the sheepsfoot is replaced by an awl or leather punch. Earliest awls were grooved, later ones were smooth. The frame of the two models is an identical 3 7/8" closed length.

i may be wrong , but i believe the catalog reprints are still available at 15$ a set.

Thank you all for your responses. It is nice to know there are so many nice folks willing to help. Thanks again.

Wondered if Joe could could give us an answer to the question about catalog reprints. I am interested in obtaining a set. Are the reprints still available and what is the cost?

Russell - Ron Ryder at cuttersandcollectors.com has old stock 319's with the spiral awl on hand. No boxes and very minor handling marks on the bolsters. A few minutes on the buffing wheel and the two I had purchased looked like new.
