My condolences for your loss.

Value is difficult thing to estimate, especially if there's sentimental value. Similar exchanger tool sets were manufactured by Imperial and other brands. Some were also used as advertisements...here's an example with the Jeep logo: http://cgi.ebay.com/IMPERIAL-TOOL-KIT-KNIFE-Advertisment-For-JEEP_W0QQitemZ110228374336

This type of kit has a long history. Alexander Normand of South Africa patented a knife with exchangeable tools in 1895. Here's a link to his US patent on Google patents: http://www.google.com/patents?id=ucFiAAAAEBAJ

There's a section on "Tool Kit Knives" in Bernard Levine's Levine's Guide to Knives and their Values. His book shows catalog illustrations of antique tool kit knives from Ulery, New York Knife, and Napanoch.

hey does anyone seen exchanger tool with a wrench like posted above?

i have one tool kit too,its from early seventies from my grandad,its packed in a leathercase,includind the handle,a saw,small hammer,can/bottle opener,two screwdrivers,a file,a blade and....spoon/fork combination;).

but ive never seen one with a wrench too.

Perkele, There was a tool kit with a wrench on ebay a couple of months ago. If I recall correctly, the removable wrench was a typical (Crescent-style) adjustable wrench.
