34OT Date Needed.

I have a older Old Timer 34OT Sawcut Delrin Stockman that is used and wanted to know what date this knife was made. The clip blade tang reads as follows:
SCHRADE
N.Y. U.S.A.
34OT

This has the three line stamp. I'm sure it's 1980's atleast snce I haven't seen the three line tang stamp on others that I've seen. Can anyone help me on this? [I'm unable to post pick, sorry] But the tang is stamped exactly as above.

Could be a few years earlier.

Not sure when the NY was taken off of some patterns, but it is post 1973, and probably closer to mid/late 70's. Not all patterns had NY on the stamp when they changed from Schrade Walden NY in 1973-74.

Schrade didn't design the stamps for collectors trying to date them decades later. There is a good deal of those stamps still in circulation, and I kind of think the range is 1974-1980, roughly, as an estimate.

Greatly appreciate that info. I'm hoping I can find another one since the one I have has the sheepfoot broken and a lazy spey blade.
