Quick question.

Has anyone ever seen a 34OT with a match strike nail nick?

I haven't. Just wondering about an old advertising item I've seen.

I have about 30 mint 34OT knives, most of them are stamped Walden NY – no match-strike pulls.
I have just looked back pre. Old Timer listing and could not find any small stockman with match-strike pulls.
The only Schrade knives I have in my collection with match-strike-pulls are Walden 880, 881 and 8OTs.

My prized 34OT is an un-finished 25TH Anniversary SS34OT (made in 1984).
One of the Red Bone Handles is square (un-worked) and it does not have the etched blade or the Silver shelled.
I have eight Sterling Silver 34OT Anniversary knives in the wooden box, however the un-finished one is My Favourite.

I went back to a 1964 flyer and you can clearly see in it that the 34OT did not have a match strike where the 8OT does.

For those that are not familiar to what a match strike nail nick or pull is here is a couple of examples. Not Schrades but Imperials.
