Has anyone been able to fit paracord with the innards through that tiny lanyard hole? I have tried just about everything, would appreciate the help if anyone has managed. Thanks in advance!

Saw a YouTube video with a paracord lanyard so it can be done. Sent the guy a message

i slightly singed the end, then wrapped and twisted it in a small piece of plastic wrap (like one wrap) and then worked it through.

Peel the cord back about an inch and remove the inner cords. Then it will fit and you'll have the full thickness to work with.

I bought about 30 of these quick release connectors for my knives with small lanyard holes. At first I was a little concerned they might not be strong enough. I did a little test and hung a 25 lb. barbell weight on it. It showed no sign of failing so that was good enough for me. I didn't push it to it's fail point.

Melt the end a little and roll it so it's tapered. Then you can string it through on the 0350. It'll fit ungutted 550 cord, but it is a snug fit. You'll have to tie it on the knife directly (not loop it).

Gotcha, ya I was planning on doing a coil knot, so not an issue. Thank you for the reply!

Got it to work, ended up cutting it at an angle and burning the ends while rolling it

Here's a hint. Put a piece of shrink tube over the end and heat it up so that it shrinks and compresses the paracord.

I have a Tandy brass needle cap thing made for leather lacing that I fit the paracord in. Stormdrane's blog suggested these for tight knot work like tying Turk's Heads. If you do this stuff often they are well worth the small investment as is a set of hemostat/fly tying pinchers for reaching through and pulling the paracord back.
