I just picked one of these up at Wally World. I'm very glad I did as it's a lot of knife, especially for $15 + tax. I don't know if I got an above average specimen, but none of the gripes I usually hear associated with slipjoints is present. No blade play whatsoever. Fit and finish is good. The springs are flush both in open and closed positions. No blade rub. And best of all, the blades were sharp! All in all an excellent purchase.

The 373 I got in a trade with some others, was brand new and super sharp.
But the springs are not as flush as any of the old 300's I have. But is a nice knife.

Picked two up from Wal-Mart a few weeks ago so my son and I could practive whittling on. Was a little concerned about the being made in China. Very sharp out of the box. Fit and finish on both knives are great. No blade play. My only complaint is that the bolsters and plate with the Buck insignia have taken on a slight greenish hue. Other than that a great knife for the price.

I have both the USA and the China, and I actually prefer the China, for a few reasons.

I like the flush fit pins, the blades on mine have a bit more snap than my US model, zero blade play on my China while my USA has a bit on all 3 blades, and the blade on the China is just a bit longer and slimmer than the US model. Also, the main blade on my US rubs the sheepsfoot.

Anyway, the Walmart models are actually quite nice, although I do prefer the black sawcut delrin over the Rosewood.
