Hey all. I have been a longtime lurker and am ready to post a question. First off: I belong to a bunch of forums and totally get if this question has been beaten to death. So, I am but a humble newb and am happy to be directed to an old thread. But I also know new models come along, and well: here goes.

I have $370 sitting in paypal and would like to purchase ONE EDC knife to go along with my Dragonfly ZDP. This would get real use, but also just be an object of love and fiddling. I HAD a small sebenza insingo I loved; thought it was just about perfect, and may just get another. But, I know there's a lot of under-the-radar stuff out there. So, knowing that the small Insingo seemed just about perfect, is there anything else I should check out? I just emailed Three Sisters since they are from Oregon, like me.

Side note: definitely needs to be Ti framelock, though I am fine if the other side is G10 or something. Can't be much bigger than a small Sebbie (the Spyderco Southard is just a bit too big for my comfort level of around the house). Made in USA is just a personal preference as well. Pocket clip is also needed.

Thanks!

If you can find one get a strider PT similar size to the small sebbie and just as durable. They are hard to come by right now i heard a new batch is coming but no idea when. There is also the spydie sage 2 thats excellent its not $370 but it is titanium and s30v. You could also look at the boker pipsqueak its short but feels like a larger knife in hand. But for what its worth if you have that kinda money just sitting then sebbie all the way :)

If you can squeeze a budget and wait a bit try a Grimsmo Norseman. Approximately $450~ iirc.

A.G Russell Acies 2
Bradley Alias 2
Spyderco Techno

These are the ones i can remember.
However I can give you other very nice non ti framelock suggestions if you want :)

Watch the custom section in the exchange. Lots of stuff pops up in there. Good stuff.

I second the PT and they aren't that hard to come by right at the moment the CC is available for $300 and it's beautiful. They disappear in your pocket and are good solid knives.

Are those Sacha's available anywhere? They look awesome! Also, on the PT: I keep reading QC issues about them that I never see about the Sebbies.

I am currently on order for a Kingdom Armory Knives Mini Samaritan Production model.
note: The picture is an unground blade.

Specs: $385-400 S30V blade with dual thumbstuds- heat treated to 58-59rc - hollow ground and stonewashed
Solid lockstop - one side adjustable pivot with slip bushing in blade - bronze washers
Ti frame and framelock with dragonskin milled forward section, stonewashed
Deep ride pocket clip mounted in recessed pocket in frame
Blade laser engraved "KINGDOM" on the presentation side... and "S30V - USA" on other side, near the frame
Lockfaces to be concave cut on the blade, and carbidized on the Ti lockbar face
OAL when open - 6.5" +/-
OAL when closed - 3 5/8 +/-
Blade length will be just under 3" so it will be legal to carry in every state and municipality I can think of
Each knife will come in a custom "Bills" cordura soft case and boxed

The Sacha Thiel Officer may be a little big (3.5" blade) for your taste. However, his Citizen model may be what you like! It's within your budget except it's made in France!
I placed an order last month, just go to Sacha Thiel website or blog, leave him an email.

There is a second run of the Officer coming soon. I have one and I prefer it to my Sebenza or SNG.
