I've been watching these off shore produced Buck knives for a while now. These come in a wide range of scale material and could just about satisfy any user. They come razor sharp and the F/F is second to none. I want to know why Buck can't offer the same scale materials on US produced knives. Here is a new Canoe I just picked up. It was a bit much, but I really liked it.

That one looks pretty cool MBJ, I got a tortois shell one about a year ago...I liked it so much I picked up a yellow one.

Havent seen that one Matt-looks good. I agree with f&f of these and I am happy with mine. I watched for about 2 months to get this one for under 10 bucks

Nice Canoe Matt, that's one I haven't seen yet. Counting yours, there are 14 major variations that I know of. I have 10 so far. Here's 9 of them. What is the model / cat # on the end of the box? It looks very similar to a Smoky Mountain issue of a ChinaBuck 382 Trapper. I'm surprised you jumped on it, I had the impression you were concentrating on the 100 series these days....

I could wish for the same thing. I'd be buying them for sure. Buck has already assigned a 300 series model number for a USA produced Canoe pattern knife.... 308... It has been used for a Canoe pattern knife they produced for A.G. Russell.

Beautiful knives......makes me want to start snapping up canoes.

And I've been watching Matt.....he seems to be concentrating on a lot of things all at once.

Anybody know what material is used for the tortoise-shell? In days gone by I think celluloid was used and caused some problems with rusting?

Whoa!

I like the shape of those other ones up above far better.

These have an awful lot of bolster......and one blade is shaped a bit odd.

sitflyer, Thanks for posting the pictures of the AG Russel Canoes. They sure are pretty.

imafritz, Like you Stag Canoe. It's one of the 4 I don't have yet.

BG42EDGE, I don't think the Tortoise is celluloid, but it is a poly type material.

Matt, here is the matching 382 Trapper to your Canoe. It is a current SMKW offering. Same Bill Lowen Signature.

Thank you all for the great comments, I really didn't think anybody even looked at these. I love the AG Russel Canoe, I will look for that one. As for having my attention, I am a 300 lover first and for most. I like the 100 series and have spent alot of time with them but I'm always looking out for a great 300. I have 3 yellow Canoes and 2 smooth bone( not sure what kind of bone) Canoes, with the new addition above, makes 6. I really like the jigged red/amber bone and the stag. I'll be keeping my eyes open for new ones and I cant wait to see the new 308...

Sitflyer

Is that AG Russel made by Buck and does it have Bucks name on it, Is it still available?

My recent AG Russell e-sales notice had the 308 black pearl in it ...for multi-C notes. I believe I have seen one or two of the ivory seconds offered for sale. The only one I paid any attention to sold for 100+. All the those ivory scaled seconds had cracks at the rivets. Some more, some less. Check my double split in the photo...oh well it was a second.

MY Ivory 308 is perfect, not even a HINT of a crack at the pins! Signed by Chuck.
The stag is signed by Chuck on one blade and AG on the other.
According to AG it was a collaboration of Design. They are nice and thin, and a tad smaller than the 389.
Blades are: warncliff-S30V ... Spear-CM154
They really are nice...

That photo was taken when I was just getting familiar with my digital camera. I'll get some better shots soon...
