I got a Harbor Freight catalog today and it has their 5 speed drill press in it for $39.99. I checked their web site and it still shows the price at $69.99 so to order it at the lower price you'll need to call em and give them the catalog number and such.

Mine was $49 and came with a hand chuck!! I use mine for Kydex and it works fine. I might even buy a second one for the countersink, then I won't have to keep chaning between the two tools I use! Don't be alarmed and the sound when you first fire it up, it needs time for the belt to break in. Mine is quiet now. I also took mine apart and put good quality AMERICAN grease in it!!

It really doesn't have the power for drilling steel, the table will flex if you try :) Still a good deal for wood and plastic.

If you take the return spring out, its great for tapping holes. It helps prevent breaking those small taps.
