Hey kewl Thanx for the info, I gota chance to buy one but didnt know anything about it...

it's a very fast knife for it's size. the handle is comfy and secure in the hand. it a thinned down ash1.

They are sweet knives. I really wish I wouldn't have sold mine.

It's odd looking but you get the feeling that it works really well.

I've never really learned much about the 3B2 either, other than I currently have two. One unused and one lightly-used user.

I had heard there were only 16 made, but that count seems awfully low to me. Anyone know how many were actually made?

I've heard that number also but there sure were a lot of them floating around at one time.

Take an ASH-1, sharpen the hell out of it over and over, paint it and you'll have the 3b2.

Well with all this good info I bought it, $300 bucks I think is a good buy,
Now do any of you know what the heck (3b2) means??? mabey considering the price of some busses it means " 300 BUCKS x 2:eek:

That is a very good buy... Congrats, now how about a few pics of your new blade?

Not sure what 3B2 actually means. Supposedly it is a Mil-Overrun. I think Jerry and the other Busse staff are the only ones who really know the truth.

That was a nice thread with a bunch of useful info, I was always kind of curious what the 3B2 was for

I love the Terror Monkey Argonne Assualt, definitely a grail knife

It was a Military Overrun version of the ASH from the 2008 VetDayGanzaaa (item 12A).

Here's the picture thread:
VetDayGanzaaa Pages 8 - 15

and the prices thread:
VetDayGanzaaa... Pricing And Ordering Procedures...

I don't know how many were made (the shop doesn't release that sort of info), but I recall that not everyone who requested 3B2s got any. I went for the (page 13) FSHs in that 'ganza, but in hindsight probably should have gone for at least one 3B2 as well. At the time, I considered their price of $287.00 to be a bit high for an ASH military overrun, and I certainly don't regret buying my FSHs, but I've heard nothing but good from the folks who own them. Also, I picked up one of those (page 10) "Hammered" Wardens on the secondary market, and think it was the sleeper buy of that 'ganza -- it's much more impressive in-hand than it looks in the picture. In my opinion, the 2008 VetDayGanzaaa had the best overall selection of Busses I've seen in any ganza before or since.
