I've been trying to figure out a way to show off my knives and get away from storing them in Pelican cases, so over the last week I designed and built this system: Modular Wall-Mounted Display for Folding Knives

I was initially a bit wary to mount my knives in such a minimalist fashion, but the solution is actually fairly robust and you'd have to really try to knock one of the knives off the wall. Locks hold everything in place, so you can't knock the anything loose but everything is also easily moveable and adjustable. As I life in earthquake country, safety was a fairly big consideration for me. It was also important that it be expandable/shrinkable in the event that my collection changes, something that seems to happen more than I'd like to admit. All in all, I'm pretty happy that I found a way to combine two of my favorite (and most expensive) hobbies.

I'll be including a Printables link to the files below. For those who don't know me, these files are free and I have zero interest in selling or advertising anything. I just figured there might be some people out there with access to a 3D printer who might think this is useful. Feel free to suggest improvements, as I have definitely not perfectly executed this concept.

Apologies for posting this in the general discussion area. I didn't know if this applied to maintenance/tinkering or something else.
