Because the scales of my Victorinox Huntsman got messed up in the bottom of my pack 
I did an experiment today.. 3D Printed new scales at work (Ultimaker S3)
3D model is from Thingyverse
result:
It's the plus scales, so need to hunt down a pin and pen to fit in them too
They're press fit, just like the originals
I did't get a perfect flush fit, maybe I didn't remove the support material far enough from the mounting holes.
Happy with the result though
I'd be nice to see more printed scales collected in this thread if you guys have some
