I prefere the tube. Actually I use Franklin sanding disc adheasive. It is much cheaper and works as well or better. Either one you just need to spread them evenly. I use a scrap of sand paper. If you let them cure properly you should be able to change the disca at least 10 times.
The spray has been discontinued by 3M and replaced with the tube. 3M is dropping all aerosols where they can for environmental issues. I prefered the spray for saving 10 seconds applying it but after using both, the tube seems natural enough.
I put a bead around the disc, about mid dia. I found that an old business card works great to spread the bead evenly over the disc. Then i turn it on at a slow RPM till it sets. Since I normally only use 40 grit on my disc I just take a piece of scrap sanpaper that I cut off the disc to spread it. The only problem with this is possibility of getting grit on the disc. If you do finer grits on your disc use a piece of card stock that is clean.
