Yay! Ok, my sheaths leave a bit to be desired but they'll get better with practice. Knife is a little B&T for my brother's Bday. It's 1084 with an OAL of ~6.5" and 2.5" blade. Sorry about the crappy cell phone pics but you get the idea. Comments welcome.

Looks great to me. Even grind, uniform finish, pleasing aesthetics... It looks like a professionally made, highly functional little knife. Very nicely done.

Thanks everybody for looking and for your comments.

vanviuren, I will include a leather cord with the knife. My brother can choose.

Wulf, I appreciate your remarks as well. I'm trying very hard. I'm making lots of mistakes along the way but I'm also learning a lot. The design isn't original. I liked the style so I thought I'd make one. My brother is into the fly fishing thing. Perhaps 1084 isn't the best choice for a knife used around water but that's what I had on hand. He'll just have to take care of it if he doesn't want it to rust.

Wow, that's super impressive especially for a third blade. Keep up the great work, I hope I can see more from you in the future!

Ok, perhaps "3rd knife" needs a bit of clarification. Like the rock band that is an overnight hit, there is the many years of struggle before they are noticed. With me, only about a year but many hours. My junk jar is filled with failed knives. My kitchen table has about 20 in progress blades. This knife is my 3rd actually finished knife. I am struggling but starting to get the hang of some things. I will post new ones as they are finished.

Mattlundervold, perhaps the greatest compliment is when a person likes something you made enough to pay you for it. Like I mentioned earlier, the knife is not an original design of mine. It is patterned after a memory of a similar knife I saw someplace many years ago. And frankly, being very new at this, the prospect of selling any of my knives scares me. My heat treatment should be sound but I haven't worked out a routine for testing my knives yet and I wouldn't be comfortable selling untested tools. I really appreciate the interest though. As my projects become more and more ambitious I certainly will be testing them. When they pass I will have the confidence to start selling. :)

Nice and clean lines, nice job! It sounds to me like you really enjoy making knives.I think that is the most important thing. The passion shows in your work.

wow. I really really like this knife. It's very beautiful to me. Simple but sweet...Very good work! You know...my birthday is coming up soon too brotha? :D

Looks great! As a beginner trying to make knives myself, I really appreciate how nice it looks. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks everybody. You are all very encouraging. I'll keep posting them as I finish them.
