i understand lately that ive been somewhat of a troll. i dont mean to be.
i keep posting threads that can cause some ruckus between everyone here on bladefoums.
the thing is, when i post new threads, i dont do it just to make problems, im being honest with my questions.
the other thing wrong with me, is that i care WAY too much about the popular decision and not enough about what i think. i need to realize that everyone has different tastes in knives, and not everyone is going to agree on one brand.
i also post too much. and im sorry for that. it must be a pain in the ass for all of you to look at page 1 of forums and see 3 or 4 of my crap.
again, im sorry for all the issues i may have caused. i hope we can move on.
unless something badass happens to me or my knives over the weekend, ill cool it with the posts for a few days. :)

Hmmm if you persevere on here, you will find that this forum is one of the best resources on the planet about knife, steel, and sharpening knowledge. I too, got off to a rocky start here but once you get to know the nuances here, you'll be able to find even very obscure information that might not be available elsewhere.

Just be patient with us forumites and we'll make you spend all your money on knives. :p

Ditto what singularity35 said, on a side note maybe look into the older threads. A lot of information is still usable and if you find something that's dated, go right ahead and start a new thread on it. That is a far more insightful way of learning then starting misc. threads

This right here is actually the key to really enjoying knife collecting. Took me a while to figure it out

Knives are like just about anything else, if you ask 6 people on this forum what the perfect knife is you'll get 14a different opinions.

And so far you have bought a Chevy or Ford and not a Nash Rambler. So that's not all bad.

You can learn, by observing popular opinion, what people like in terms of blade-steels, blade-length, blade-design, opening mechanisms, scales, and the like. You will try, perhaps, some of the more popular knives and learn from these knives and then go on to form your own opinions.

I've used other folks' opinions as the basis upon which I've built up my own list of good and bad things in knives. You can also.
I have NOT been disappointed by doing it this way.

The thing about buying knives, only you will know what's best for you. The best place to decide between knives is not here in BF but in a knife shop.
Here you can only get suggestions based on other peoples preferences

In a knife shop you can can get suggestions and try the knives you're interested in and deciding between 1st hand yourself

I'm pretty sure you are a pure troll... especially with the CS vs. ZT thread. Now I'm going to steal a cue from Cougar Allen...
