Finally received my 3V Monster Nessie this week to almost complete the family of Koster 3V knives. It was the first of Dan's knives I ordered, and the last one (to date) that I received.

Very nice set. I love the robust, utilitarian designs and the texture of the micarta on the handles of Dan's knives. I also have a Bushmaster in 3V, which is off having a sheath fitted, and one of my favorites of the bunch. But the family is not complete - I really want a WSS to pair with the Monster Nessie. I figure if I keep whinging about this enough, eventually Dan will relent and do another run.

What knife is that in the first pic on the top?
That blade is sick....

Looks like the MUCK

Damn awesome blades

Looks like the MUCK

Yes, it is a MUCK - beautiful lines, but also immensely versatile. Its one of the ones that was sold through KSF, which Dan forgot to put a swedge on. He offered to grind the swedge for anyone who bought one and wanted it, but I am happy with it as is - the thicker tip should help with batonning, and the balance is a little bit forward, but not uncomfortably so. I also have a Busse Skinny ASH & SAR6, Fallkniven Njord and Caldwell 1-6, but if I could keep only one 6" blade, the MUCK would be it.

Hi Mr.Koster and all,

Might not be the best thread to ask this question but i've read about a 1/4-3/8" thick stock on a Nessie before.
Are those still available?
