I'm interested in a general purpose 3V fixed blade.

I don't live in the US, so Carothers isn't an option. Bradford? Lionsteel? Whaddya like?

Thanks.

Lionsteel makes a good 3V knife for the money
Reiff makes a damn good 3V hard user series
Architect ( white river ) does 3V well
LT Wright 3V has been pretty good in my experience

*Cold Steel 3V SRK seems to get some good feedback often. I’ve never tried any of the models that weren’t Carbon V , Aus 8 or SK85 tnough ( they were all pretty great for the money imo ).

Thanks for the shout out oldmanwilly oldmanwilly . I have one Prevex blank in 3V left in stock that so far nobody has made a move on. After that, who knows when the next time will be. Definitely mid 2026 at the earliest.

Here's one I made spring 2024 (knife on the left):

MKM Normar made by Lionsteel is a nice option imho, not sure what size you're looking for.

I have a cold steel srk and srk c on the way, both in 3v.
I also just got a compliance edge henchman, brock custom and tope hellkat utility in 3v and am happy with all of them.
Here is the brock and compliance edge. The only 2 i have pictures of at the moment.IMG_7612.jpeg

It is hard to make a suggestion without knowing what size, thickness and other aspects you prefer.

Lots of Canadian members have CPKs, and several were (co-)designed in Canada. Which one were you looking for?
I know Lorien has been involved in design. I recall reading that Carothers doesn't ship internationally anymore. I'm most interested in the kephart and HDFK.

Fortunately he's still shipping internationally for old customers.
The quote :

"I apologize, in advance, to any new international customers but we are unable to take new international orders at this time. This does not apply to folks that we know or we have shipped to in the past, only new international customers."

HDFK is difficult to find / expensive on the used market (north of $1k). I suggest a WTB add in the Carothers Exchange for a Kephart, likely somebody will have a spare one, and open to shipping to you. Fantastic knife.
