Drew this one up last night and decided to grind it out today. This is a ultralight mini bowie. Made of 3/32 thick 3V. Full convex grind. Designed to slice and dice and very pokie ;) A swedge will be added to the clip point after heat treat.

Jim,

I cannot guarantee anything. I am still trying to figure out my production lead times now that I finally got my own furnace.

I just decided today that I would like to submit one of my BT4s for the woodcraft/utility field knife challenge so that is on the top of my priority to finish right now.

Hey Ban, I understand and that's fine. Just wanted to get an idea of where we were with this and there is really no hurry. I'm ready when you are.

Good luck with the Woodcraft/Utility field knife challenge.

Jim,

Your flat ground mini bowie is currently sitting in the cryo tank. Will need to temper it 2 more times for 2hrs @ 1000F when it gets comes out of cryo.

Here is the what the full convex one looks like when it is finished.

Will take some more pics for you late tonight. Heading out to work out then coming back to the shop for some more grinding.

I sure appreciate it, Ban. I really like the looks of it, I'm thinking 1/8" CPM154 convex.

It was intended to be a small edc sized knife hence the name Mini Bowie.
