I happened to look at my last post, and noticed it was 3,999 .
Not that its a milestone, but I wanted 4,000 to be here in Traditional.
I probably spend more time on here, than is really healthy
. But thats o.k, I like it here. I look forward to seeing the pics of knives that members share. It doesn't matter if the knife cost $5.00 or $5,000.
Thats one of the nice things about this sub forum, people are treated the same no matter how much they spend or even if its their first post in here.
There is no trash talking about other peoples knives. The members here have enough class to keep the negative comments to themselves if they don't like something, unless of course someone asks for comments good or bad. Even then, the comments will usually be done with respect...
And for the ones that don't quite have it figured out, Elliott and Gus will remind them of the house rules and that there is a door here. Thanks to the work of Gus and Elliott, this remains a very laid back and enjoyable place to be...
My knowledge level has risen dramatically since I started hangin out here.
Thanks to members that have what seems to be endless knowledge, and the patience and willingness to share.
Even though I haven't had the pleasure of meeting anyone in person, I'm a good judge of character and the people I consider friends on here, are people that would always be welcome to come sit around my camp fire, swap lies, and have a few adult beverages.
I don't have the knowledge level that some of you have, but I enjoy being able to answer a question someone has, especially if they are new to Traditional knives. The enthusiasm level is always high when just getting started. I always like to watch someone who doesn't normally hang out here, come in and start testing the waters. Before ya know it, we have a convert to the good side of the fence
Well my Ambien is kickin in, so its time to stop writing before I say something stupid. Not that I haven't done it before, I just prefer to keep it to a minimum.
