I came across a #4-7 today and wanna try to date it.
Heiser sheath. Has 7 spacers, red, white and black in the center. Ebony handle with a monogramed nickle silver disc in the butt.
Has a serial number etched underneath the Randall stamp.
Would this be Viet-era and earlier?
Also, the false edge is sharpened.

Sounds more like a 1950's knife to very early 1960's. Hard to tell without a picture and still may be, with one.
