All 4 great looking blades:
Bura pushed a lot of weight up into a wider blade on #1.
He knows what he wants in an AK. And that karda!
#2 is the definition of an AK when I picture one in my mind.
But #3 & #4 really stand out.
#3 I like the almost smooth arc of the handle and spine.
And the edge swells and flows so smoothly from grip to tip.
#4 Has a wasp-waisted, sleek look that stands out.
Is that a 2nd fuller above the belly?
It sure looks to be more weight forward than the average AK,
And at 20".............Keep it away from the Redwoods.

Big sigh..........
Wish I could give three of those a home.
Beautiful work.

I do like what Sher does to an edge. And the whole knife looks like it's reeeeaaaaaccchhiinngg out for something to chop.

I can't believe the prices on the 20" AKs lately!!!

I remember when they were steals at $125!

And that wasn't that long ago.

In fact, I'm pretty sure I did a lot of whining and complaining about missing a 20" AK for $100.

Now Bill's laying them out nearly every week at that price.

What next?

The 25" AK for $125?

Bill - you're going to send me to the poor-house...(oops! already there!)

Fortunately for me = I already have a very nice Chiruwa 20" AK to keep me settled.

darn...was hoping for a "I have this special......"
must be more overt next time...

Oops! Did I say that?

I get a kick out of this:

We would surely drive a linguist nuts in this forum...:footinmou

Compare the lines on that Sher AK to this Sher WWII. They look like fraternal twins.

Are either 18" AK still available? I'll perferably take the wood handle for a special friend.:)

I got to this thread a couple days late, but I really liked seeing the work of 4 different kamis side-by-side.

Number three seems strongly influenced by the WWII and Ganga Ram Special - more curving and less pointy than Bura's

Good stuff!
