top -- Nice, tough, heavy duty (1.5 pounds) BAS by either Kesar or the new kami. Nobody at BirGorkha will tell me for sure who is using the K. S. with the trisul. But whoever it is the guy is a good solid kami who knows what he's doing. This is a 10/10 rig with the exception the horn has shrunk a little and the buttcap is slightly loose. A bead of epoxy will fix it good enough to last 100 years.
Use 20 cents worth of epoxy and take five minutes and save yourself $40 -- good hourly wage for your effort. $60 delivered to your door.
no 2 -- This is another "Yangdu says it's a blem" deals. 10/10 pound and a half BAS by Kumar with an "almost convex" edge. I can't find a thing wrong but you know the story. Save yourself $40 for a fine Kumar BAS that Yangdu says is a blem. Take it home for $60.
no 3 -- 15 inch 26 ounce AK by Kumar. Almost convex edge and a 10/10 effort by Kumar. Only thing I can see that might have made Yangdu toss this into the blem box is a couple of grainlines in the handle that will never go anywhere. Save $50 and take it for $75.
no 4 -- Beautiful 15 inch 22 ounce AK by Bura. A couple of minor grainlines in the handle is all I can fault. Yangdu is getting very picky but on second thought I guess that is nothing new. The karda on this one is worth $75. Bura makes the best karda of any kami in Nepal. Delivered to your door for $75 and guaranteed for life.
