Got these for blems up for grabs.

25 inch Kobra by Sher. 10/10 work. Problem is 1/2 inch superglue fix crack in handle at bolster. $95 delivered.

Very quick 15 inch 1.25 pound AK by Sher. Beautiful saatisal handle. Another 10/10 rig. Ten minutes worth of rust removal. $75 delivered.

18 inch 22 ounce beautifully done Sirupati by Bura. Only thing wrong is 1/2 inch superglue fix crack in handle. $75 delivered.

18 inch inch 27 ounce WWII by Bura. Epoxy fix crack in handle put a perfect rig in the blem box. $95 delivered.

Is Sher the only Kami making Kobras lately?

I don't think I've seen a Kobra by anyone else for a while. Nothing against Sher of course - he's incredible - but I really wish I could see more work by Yadep (the "!" kami), and of course Amtrack is good. Kumar is the "bomb" though.

I've been buying Khuks to keep seeing if any can outdo the ones I have already and so far Kumar's works keep floating to the top of my collection. Of course, my Bura 18" WWII is pretty kool too.

How exactly do you ladies and gents apply super glue to these small cracks without getting the stuff all over the place?

Do you use the gel kind? Seems like that would be too thick.

Do you use the original "hyper low viscosity" stuff? Every time I've tried using that stuff I end up gluing myself to whatever it is I'm trying to repair.

Don, I fill the crack. I attempt to wipe the excess away. If I leave a marr or dull streak, I may refinish the horn later. Often, leaving a dull area alone cures itself as it is polished by use and the oil from your hands.

Don I deposit a small drop on a toothpick and then use it to transfer the super glue to where it needs to be. I seldom use the gel type for anything as it takes to long to set up for my taste.
The Bondini-2 that you can get at Walmart is the best easy availability super glue I've found.

i use the loctite superglue with easy control squeez sides. it allows for better control (you can see the glue come through the nozzle, and control the size of your drops), and basically do it with my glasses off face an inch crom the handle. but your still prety much going to have to refinish that area anyways...

*whimper*sigh*envy*yearn*pine*long*

I NEED an HI WWII, but I am out of the game until next month. :(

good luck to ya, kinniku:) Had you not snagged it i would have been all over that kobra:) i *have* to have one in the 25" length after how impressed I am with my 20.5"er.

Swipe your wife's nail polish remover. Apply superglue, wipe excess off, when that's done wait a few minutes then wet a rag with nail polish remover ( or super glue remover, or acetone - all the same ) and rub til all but the glue in the crack is removed.

PS: I spent my mad money for April on March 30. I understand the feeling.

I love the Loctite brand super glue.(the thin kind) You can just put the tip of the bottle down on the crack, and squeeze slowly. The glue will wick into the crack and you'll just have one tiny spot to clean up. Like Rusty said, acetone for cleanup.

Thanks Jake, but somebody beat me to the Kobra. My two 20-inchers will be lonely... But not for long.

It apears that the 18" WWII by Bura is still looking for a home. I have a 16.5" WWII that could be it's little brother (Can be seen herehere).:D Some one grab that Beaut quick!
